Second Judicial District Chief Judge 2008–2012. Appointed Referee Rebecca Rossow on November 8, 2011. Now senior status and neutral at JAMS. Her tenure is the chief-judge era in which the 15-year signature-block practice on Rossow's docket began.

Current Chief Judge of the Second Judicial District (since July 1, 2021). Prior St. Paul City Attorney. Appointed by Gov. Dayton to the Ramsey bench in the same December 2014 announcement that elevated Judge Nicole Starr. Appointed Referee Larmouth (2021), converted Referee Elsmore's temporary appointment to permanent (2023), and co-leads with Assistant Chief Judge Olmstead.

Second Judicial District Judge, Position 8. Died before April 2025. His vacancy was filled by Gov. Tim Walz's April 23, 2025 appointment of Referee Victoria Elsmore, who took the oath as Judge Victoria Gardner on July 21, 2025.

Ramsey County District Court judge who countersigned Referee Clysdale's December 12, 2024 HRO. Same judge who approved Referee Larmouth's recommendation in Edrington v. Sheridan — the case reversed by the Court of Appeals with directions to dismiss with prejudice.

Ramsey County District Court judge who countersigned Referee Larmouth's May 23, 2025 recommendation. His signature is the one Starr's Aug. 19, 2025 order treated as making that recommendation effective, without addressing the intermediate July 31, 2025 Larmouth order that was uncountersigned.

Ramsey County District Court Judge, Position 23. The first Ramsey judicial officer in the corpus outside all three alignment patterns — not Mitchell Hamline, not RCAO, not BGS. In this case, his single documented act is the Sept. 17, 2025 Order Granting Motion to Suppress Address in Strickland v. Lee — issued eight days after Ireland's Sept. 9 Rule 521 denial.
